June 17, 2008

 

MEMBERS PRESENT: Sonja Christensen, Kelly Voss, Paul Oehlke, Barb Mohs,

Ginny Buck, Pastor Gary

Motion by Kelly to approve the minutes from the May 8 meeting. Seconded by Paul.

OLD BUSINESS:

A. Thank you to Barb for all her work on the usher scheduling.

B. Suggestion Box - Kelly had ideas on the box. Bd of Lay will be

responsible for the contents & pass along the suggestions to others as

needed. Kelly will look into the box idea.

C. Thank you for Gloria & Harvey - Executive Committee should be

responsible.

D. Baptism prayer parents. Have a list of persons who will want to do this.

A motion was made by Paul to reinstate the baptism prayer parents. They

present the tool box of faith during the service. Kelly seconded. Motion carried. Ginny will be responsible.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

A. Recognition for Marcie Horton. Sonja & Barb will visit with Marcie about

what we can do for her.

B. Worship in Park - Sonja will make sure the band shelter is reserved for services

on August 3. Details will be talked about in July. Radio broadcast is necessary. Pastor Gary, Jule`, and Bob will be in charge of service. Ask Rick Hendrickson

about the speaker system. Paul will talk to Rick.

C. Congregational meeting about Boiler Maker Campaign will be July 13.

D. Budget

E. Brandon Due - graduated from Harvard Divinity School. What kind of

recognition? Executive Committee should send congrats to him. Ginny

will check with Bruce & Nancy, and Sonja will check with Laurie Stiller to

do bulletin board.

F. Pastor Gary polled us as to who we should use for listings for phone books.

We will stay with what we have......Quest.

G. Service settings to use this fall to be discussed in the July meeting. Input from

Bd of Lay & choir as worship leaders.

H. Sound System for "Come as You Are" - upgrade - special money for this

project. Need a consultant for sound system. Pastor Gary will look into this.

 

 

Next meeting will be Tuesday, July 8, at 5:30 p.m.
