Flat Jesus 2026

As Christians we are called to keep Christ at the center of our lives wherever we go. This summer in your travels and adventures take Jesus along…and tell us about it!

You’ll love taking Flat Jesus anywhere and everywhere out to dinner or the park, to Europe, Disney World, the zoo or camp-wherever you and your family go. Or have a “staycation” then you can photograph Jesus in your garden, with your pet, or having fun with your friends. Don’t forget to take him to meet your grandparents or grandchildren. Flat Jesus packs easily and weights nothing.

First, get creative! Decorate Flat Jesus-what color hair does he have? What color skin? How should his robe be decorated? How do you see Jesus? Next, cut Flat Jesus out. Then, cover him with the clear contact paper to laminate him. This way if he attempts to walk on water or spills Kool-Aid, he’ll be protected. Attach a popsicle stick with glue or tape to make it easier to hold Flat Jesus in pictures. Next, take plenty of pictures and share them with your Bethel family by texting them to 701-899-2060. Each week we will be doing a post highlighting where Jesus had been on our Facebook and Instagram account. We will also be printing some of the pictures and adding them to the bulletin board outside the nursery.

A flat Jesus cut out, stick and clear contact paper will be available from Lisa or in the church office. This project is for EVERYONE not just the children of Bethel!
